Item Description
1.75" w/W&H back paper issued only 1898-1900. Text is "Fatima, The Midway Dancer At Hagenback's." Hagenback's was famous menagerie and traveling circus which appeared at both 1898 Omaha Expo and 1904 St. Louis Expo. Given design of back paper and use of the word "Midway," it's likely this button was a Trans-Mississippi Expo promotional giveaway. Hake book Collectible Pin-Back Buttons photo example Animals Section #38. Comes w/Hake's COA. Pinpoint gray dot top edge that barely shows. Rest is NM. Only example known to us. Rare.
