Item Description
11x14" on thin cardboard. Austin, Texas union bug at bottom. Holed at the top for hanging. Aging, most notably along left edge, otherwise some edge tears and moderate handling wear. VG.  It was August 1935 before repeal of the state dry law was submitted to the voters, who voted 54% for repeal to 46% against. In response to the vote, a special session was called for the legislature in September to establish laws dealing with liquor control. The sale of alcoholic beverages became licensed in early 1936, although enforcement of prohibition had waned before that time.
