Item Description
22x30" matted w/15x23" opening. Silk. Hake #3005 and listed in Threads of History plate #529 on p. 238. Canton features 38 stars arranged around bust portraits of candidates. Text "For President James G. Blaine For Vice President John A. Logan" and "1884" complete design along white stripes. A few tiny scattered holes in top two stripes and bottom stripe. A few faint scattered stains, otherwise bright color w/light handling. Technically VF, but displays beautifully. Not examined outside of professional matting. Among the most impressive artifacts of the 1884 Republican ticket.
