Item Description
Lot of three. All c. 1921, the release date for the movie "The Kid" which starred Coogan and Charlie Chaplin. Coogan later went on to achieve fame as TV's Uncle Fester on "The Addam's Family." First two in lot are 2x7.75x.75" hinged tin litho pencil boxes. Green box has illustration of "Jackie" w/1.75" dia. "Boston Confectionary" sticker (75% remains) at the bottom. Tiny paint flakes missing (most noticeable in reflected light) and luster loss on gold luster trim. Bottom marked "Beautebox/Canco." Still displays VG. Blue box has bw photo image of "Jackie." Box remains glossy w/full gold luster trim. Bottom is marked "Wallace Pencil Co./USA." Blue box is VF. Last is 7.5" tall painted chalk figurine w/front of base reading "Jackie Coogan/The Kid." Lettering is light but readable, scattered paint loss and chips overall, hairlines. Overall VG.
