We believe the writing in black fountain pen was done by artist/creator Outcault himself. Box contains four 4x4x7/8" thick wood blocks w/zinc plate covered by top surface in copper finish. Comes w/four 7.75x11.75" bw sheets of slick paper w/4x6.75" image and text area of art showing Yellow Kid in different situations w/hardware and text to match scene. Bottom of text on each reads "Blank Hardware Co." Scenes and captions include Yellow Kid swinging large hammer w/text "Hardware! And Tools 'The Best/We Hit The Nail On The Head Always," Kid carving turkey w/large knife and fork "Things For Thanksgiving Like Cutlery & Knives And Forks/The Best," Kid w/shotgun aiming at duck floating in bucket w/"Ammunition And Guns And Sporting Goods/I'm Going To Kill That Decoy," Kid w/large pair of scissors "Look Sharp!
