Item Description
Donald Duck made his official debut in The Wise Little Hen, 1934. This publication is from October of 1934. 8.5x11.75" Volume 2 No. 4 issue by Tower Magazines Inc. The highlight of this issue is a one-page abridged adaptation of The Wise Little Hen featuring four separate images, one is of Donald Duck and Peter Pig doubled over with stomach aches. Includes notation "A Walt Disney Silly Symphony Released Through United Artists." A second Disney feature is the back cover ad for Post Toasties cereal featuring Mickey Mouse cut-outs on the boxes. Other non-Disney content largely related to Halloween including cut-out disguises for a black cat, pumpkin, giant and witch. Contents complete and unused with just light scattered aging. Moderate cover wear with aging, margin wear including pinch creases. Top right corner has address ink stamp. Overall still a fine copy of this rare and historic Donald related item. First we've seen.
