Item Description
This 1947 premium was one of the most requested premiums ever. Brass ring base features star and lightning bolt design representative of shooting atoms. Bomb-like attachment on the top has red plastic tail fin cap that removes. Object was to look inside to see flashing atoms although this action lasted only very briefly and ring no longer displays any atomic activity. However, interior of this one gives off distinct soft blue glow in darkness (after exposure to light), one of the few we’ve seen still able to do so. Exc. The red plastic tail fin cover has near invisible 1/16" hairline split on opening rim edge, as is so typical, but otherwise Gem Mint luster. A gorgeous example.
