Item Description
1.25" w/W&H back paper. Issued for 47th anniversary on Sept.9 1897 of California's admission to the union. Button top carries initials of group devoted to preserving California history: Native Sons of the Golden West. Button pictures the northern waters of San Francisco Bay. In foreground is a "dude" version of the state's grizzly bear wearing a patterned suit, hat and bow tie with his walking stick over his shoulder from which dangles a carpet bag labeled "S. Rosa". Tiny touch of age center right is barely seen. Exc. and one known to us. Rare.
