Item Description
Size 8, non-adjustable heavy dark brass ring has no text except tiny “U.S.” on his collar. Very base of ring has filed flat spot 1/8” dia. as if it came off a sprue. Ring likely meant to be plated in silver or brass if it was ever actually put into production. Top has incredible high relief extremely realistic portrait of him in uniform w/hand raised in a salute. An American eagle in side view is positioned above his hand and hat w/large wing forming design on upper left band and three high relief talons below MacArthur's hand. On the right band entire bottom to top has single flower design w/art nouveau wavy flourish at top that forms the right border around his image. The most outstanding sculptural effects we’ve ever seen on a character ring. Likely 1940s, possibly as late as his death in 1964. Mint as made. Possibly unique.
