Item Description
15.5x17.5" Also produced in 1872 but this 1868 variety is much scarcer and rarely offered. Engraved text includes "The Union Must And Shall Be Preserved", "The People's Choice Elected Nov. 3, 1868", Love And Tears For The Blue" and "Tears And Love For The Gray." Bust portraits are encircled w/text "For President, Ulysses S. Grant Of Illinois" and "Vice President Schuyler Colfax Of Indiana" in ornate banners. Some minor wear on the high relief portraits, as well as moderate handling on frame. Otherwise extremely clean and displaying beautifully. Extremely Fine. A lovely and rare 1868 campaign artifact.
