Item Description
10.75x14". 3 pgs. Published in 1882 by F. W. Helmick. Composed by Eugene L. Blake. Pictured at the top are George Corkhill and J. K. Porter, two of the prosecutors in the assassination trial, as well as Walter S. Cox, the judge presiding over the case. Below these portraits are the portraits of the sheriff and the twelve jurors who convicted Charles Guiteau. The jury convicted Guiteau on January 13, 1882, and he was sentenced to death by hanging. He was executed on June 30, 1882. Moderate aging wear, most notably along the edges. Some scattered edge tears, as well as moderate handling. Fine. Will frame above grade. An interesting piece of history from the 1882 trial.
