Item Description
19x24.5" overall. Mounted on board. Sitting Lt. Gov. John Notte rode JFK coattails to the Governor's seat in the 1960 campaign. Hand-painted white text "Notte and Kennedy", as well as some white paint on Notte's teeth. This is likely the "paste up", "original art" or "master" for a poster. Moisture damage along bottom right corner, mostly affecting the board and not the poster itself. Even aging w/scattered staining, most notably along the margins of the board backing. An "X" shaped scratch on Notte's jacket as well as a small indentation on the back of his head. Otherwise moderate handling. Technically VG, but will frame to VF.  We can't recall seeing another example of this poster in any form. John Hillhouse Collection.
