Item Description
13x16" frame w/9.5x12.5" opening. This dramatic print features a perched eagle and American shield at center w/oval portraits of candidates. Other examples we've seen have had additional text in bottom margin reading "The Republican Banner For 1860" that is absent from the present example. Light moisture stain along extreme right edge and bottom edge that blend nicely and are not obtrusive. Vibrant color w/only light wear. Extremely Fine. Among the rarest from the iconic Currier & Ives set spanning 1844 to 1876. An outstanding display item from the ever elusive 1860 campaign.
