Item Description
5x10x20" box with repeat pattern of text reading "Effanbee/Dolls That Touch Your Heart." 1.5" split on box lid, o/w sturdy and clean with original cellophane in window. Box holds 17" tall detailed doll. Comes with original issue fabric hat and plastic rifle. Doll is accompanied by letter dated January 1981 from Michael Wayne. Letterhead of "Wayne Enterprises." Letter explains the research and detail put into making this doll "Truly Reflect The Strengths And Rugged Individualism That Made John Wayne The Symbol Of The American West." Letter goes on to explain "A Portion Of The Proceeds From Each Sale Of This Commemorative Doll Is Donated To The John Wayne Cancer Research Fund At UCLA." Facsimile signature. 1981. Box Exc. Doll is Mint in box.
