Item Description
10.5x16x1.25" deep box. c. 1960. Box with cellophane window has no markings except a printed "1929" number appearing on bottom end. Apparently a stock number. Top has original window, handling wear and two surface paper splits. Box bottom has split on left side with 2" bottom crease. Box is generic, original issue and has served its purpose well of protecting the contents. Box Fine. Pink insert holds six items. First is 2.5" single shot, gold luster mini cap gun marked "RR" by Classy. Tiny luster wear to barrel tip and bullet chamber. Never used. Comes with 2.75" tan leather holster (pocket) with back loop designed to fit around belt. Second is first we've seen watch with flicker/flasher dial featuring Dale and Buttermilk. Three-position flasher gives animation affect. Chrome-plated case. 7/8" dial with 8" strap. Comes with Bristol Time guarantee. Watch runs and is Exc. Third is gold bolo tie with 1.5" dia. metal/plastic slide with embossed image of Dale and text "Dale Evans/Queen Of The West" in gold luster. Ends of tie with brass tips. Fourth is 2.5" tall generic gold luster metal horse with saddle. Next are two 5" long tan/brown ballpoint pens with red and blue ends (likely indicates dried ink color). Comes in generic 8" plastic pocket that can snap over belt. Last is 7x10" color photo with bright yellow bkg. of Dale and Buttermilk with facsimile signature below. Photo is rolled as issued. All of the contents are as issued. The gun is rare, being the gold luster variety. The watch is rare, being the flicker/flasher variety. All of the items including the insert are Mint as issued. First we've seen. A wonderful display set.
