Item Description
First are three unopened packages each containing a different 7" long tin litho plane by Ichimura, Japan, 1960s. These planes are "TWA, American Airlines, Pan American." The header cards feature TWA and Pan Am planes while the inserts depict overhead view of water and islands to simulate the plane's flight. Packaging is Exc. to NM w/Mint planes. Second part of this lot consists of 10" long tin litho plane by Dayia, Japan, late 1950s. Original very graphic box featuring B.O.A.C. Havilland Comet Jetliner streaking upwards in sky has a few lt. creases and one .75" split on side. VF/Exc. Toy has working friction. Sparking mechanism no longer functions but new flints could be easily added. Toy has scattered pinpoint paint nicks, mostly evident on top of fuselage. VF. An interesting lot featuring passenger planes of the late 1950s-early 1960s.
