Item Description
14x22" on stock. Paid for by the Carter/Mondale Re-Election Committee. Philadelphia union bug in lower right. Dated November 2, 1980. Event held just days before the 1980 election in Philadelphia. Likely in hopes of a last-minute push in the swing state of Pennsylvania. Ted Kennedy was present at the event to campaign for Carter in hopes of unifying the Democratic vote after Kennedy had challenged Carter during the primaries. Carter ultimately lost Pennsylvania, and was defeated in an electoral landslide in 1980, losing to Ronald Reagan. Light scattered wear. Exc.
