Item Description
8.5x15.5x12” tall box contains 11” tall by 15” wide hard/soft plastic toy. Early 1960s. Box has creasing in front, one side has warping from water damage w/staining. VG but back of box is in much better condition and would make a nice display. VF. Toy works although a penny must be added inside the battery box to ensure proper contact. Toy marches around while drum beats. Toy moves forward and reverse in various configurations determined by moving the flag protruding from the top of the drum. All this is explained and shown on instruction sheets of which two Xerox copies are included. Also mentioned and shown on these sheets is a baton that you were supposed to use to stand alongside the toy and move the flag. This is missing although toy operates fine by touching the flag with your hand. Some of the white plastic bodies of the marching soldiers have aged slightly to a yellowish tone, however, overall toy remains bright and clean, very little wear. VF to Exc.
