Item Description
11x14". Cardboard. 1941 special election. Johnson was defeated narrowly in a four-way race by Pappy O'Daniel, the sitting Governor of Texas. Johnson ultimately won this Senate seat in 1948, and served in the U.S. Senate from 1949-1961. Margins darkened with age as is typical of this poster. Otherwise some light edge wear. VF. A nice example connecting LBJ w/FDR.
