Item Description
7x8.5" booklet for Ohio State University exhibit on Jan. 9-Apr. 21, 1995. Titled "Before The Yellow Kid-Precursors Of The American Newspaper Comic Strip." Has an overview history of comic strips and is illustrated w/several examples. Lt. moisture stain by top staple, staples have some rusting o/w book is Exc. w/NM appearance. 6.75x9.25" hardcover w/80 pages "Enter: The Comics-Rodolphe Topffer's Essay On Physiognomy And The True Story Of Monsieur Crepin." Published by University of Nebraska Press in 1965. Overview of comic strip history. Dust jacket has obvious wear w/large tears and surface color rubs and creases. Good. Book has lt. wear but is Exc. w/NM contents. Last is large 11x14.75" hardcover "Little Nemo" reprint published by Nostalgia Press Inc. in 1972. Large format book nicely reprints Winsor McCay's detailed art in bw w/some scattered nice full color pages. Cloth-bound spine has some color rubs and separate plate covers have some wear. Exc. appearance w/Mint contents.
