Kit No. 453-100. ©1969 Aurora. Box states "Frightening Lightning Strikes, The Monster That Glows In The Dark." Reissue of the 1966 Famous Monsters of Filmland Magazine/Aurora joint venture. Mort Künstler art. Florescent pink "Glows In The Dark" stickers on both ends. Right side panel has remnant of original store price sticker w/black marker price written on cellophane. Lid label slightly off center, not overly distracting. Cellophane has some defects on main lid area, w/pair of .25x2" strips missing cellophane w/a few small strips/holes to cellophane. This appears to be as factory-sealed and box o/w remains tightly sealed. Box is o/w Exc. w/bright, vibrant color. Factory-sealed w/unused contents. A rare and sought after Frightening Lightning series kit. An example w/better cellophane sold for $4,120 in our March 2024 auction. Janusey Brothers Collection.
