Item Description
12x16.5". Published by Currier & Ives. 1860. Features Lincoln being carried on a rail marked "Republican Platform" by an African American in the front and Horace Greeley in the back. Speech bubble from Lincoln reads "It is true I have split the Rails, but I begin to feel as if this Rail would split me, it's the hardest stick I've ever straddled." Print has been cleaned and has minor corner repairs. Moderate surface wear and handling. Crease in bottom left corner. Light edge wear. VF, will frame above grade.
