Item Description
c. 1850. Size 7-1/2. 14kt. yellow gold ring set with a large 4.60ct. oval spessartite garnet with seed pearls around the outside. The four larger seed pearls are 3mm while the 16 smaller seed pearls are 1mm. The clarity of the garnet is VVS and the color is AAA. Beautiful rich orange color on the garnet; spessartite is more rare than the commonly seen intense red garnet. Wonderful representation of Victorian era jewelry.
