Item Description
c. 1950. 16 dwt. 2.5x1.5" in size. Vintage French brooch has five articulated plique à jour (enamel applied in cells similar to cloisonné) rich blue enameled petals. The 16 stamens in the center of the brooch are "En Tremblant" meaning they "tremble" or move when worn. The brooch is signed Louis Piret. The stamens are set with diamonds and natural sapphires. The stem has three green enameled leaves and triple hallmarks. Trumpet clasp. The eight full cut diamonds are 0.09 ct. each for at total diamond weight of 0.75 ct. Clarity is SI and the color is H-I. The eight sapphires are 0.016 ct. each. Clarity is VS and the color is AA. A delightful, eye-catching brooch.
