17x24". A complete example of the Wednesday, November 3, 1948 City Home Edition of the Chicago Daily Tribune. Large page 1 headline "Dewey Defeats Truman" is followed by sub-heads "Puts G.O.P. Back In The White House" and "Sizeable Electoral Margin Seen." An opening statement of news report by Arthur Sears Henning Is "Dewey And Warren Won A Sweeping Victory In The Presidential Election Yesterday." The incredible error on a national election actually won by Truman is often cited as the most famous single newspaper edition of the 20th century. Vertical and horizontal folds w/age toning and losses along fold lines. Otherwise general toning consistent w/age and newsprint stock. VG.
