Item Description
8.5x11" Vol. 1 #1 issue, Jan. 1937. 14 mimeographed sheets bound by staples at left margin. Complete title reads "Mickey Mouse Deadline The Disney Studio Monthly (We Hope) Magazine." Cover illustration is of Father Time and Mickey Mouse. There is a one-page cartoon titled "Listen Moore" that depicts Disney legend Fred Moore atop the desk of a second unidentified artist. Rest of issue is just text w/such sections as "Why We Like To Work For Mickey Mouse, On How They Think Up Gags," etc. While some contents are Disney related, others are of a more personal nature such as text on New Year's resolutions. The sheets have tanned, scattered margin wear including lt. creases/bends along right edge. Fine. Obviously this had an extremely limited distribution and this is the first we've seen, possibly the only issue published.
