Item Description
11.75x18" w/12 pages for the 1944 Republic 15-chapter serial starring Dick Purcell as Captain America. Has art image of Captain America as he appeared in comic books, differing from actual appearance in serial where costume lacked the wings on the side of head. Photos of Purcell as Captain America appear throughout. Also contains synopsis of each chapter as well as publicity newspaper articles, posters, lobby cards, membership cards, "Captain America Honor Badge," blotters, heralds, 3x6' valance. War bond poster also included. Pressbook has been folded once horizontal and once vertically, 3.5" and 3.75" splits at top and bottom of spine. 2" tear at horizontal fold crease, moderate wear but clean and bright w/exceptional contents including some of the rarest Captain America items.
