Item Description
5.75" tall. Designs are under glaze. c. 1841. American seal w/polychrome accents in red, ochre and blue. This is the plate specimen AL.42 from the David & Linda Arman authored Anglo American Ceramics on p. 236. Only trivial wear. NM and free of restoration. Tyler material is among the hardest to source and w/so few display artifacts this mug easily rises to the level of trophy piece. The lovely sponge applied design in green makes this truly a standout even among the litany of exceptional artifacts in the Rex & Patti Stark Collection.
