Item Description
1.75" long. 1" tall. c. 1790-1810. "Dr. Franklin" is pictured in his fur hat on this polychromed portrait box. Hinged lid reveals remnant of silver mirror backing under glass on underside. Near seamless touch ups along right side of coat and into hat. VG. A charming artifact of the founding father and only the second we can recall encountering in our 57 years.
