Item Description
12.75" tall. Transfers featuring portraits of Sam Adams and John Hancock flanking a memorial to George Washington titled "The Memory Of Washington And The Proscribed Patriots Of America. Liberty, Virtue, Peace, Justice And Equity To All Mankind." Other side has soldier w/large waving American flag and text "Success To America Whose Militia Is Better Than Standing Armies May Its Citizens Emulate Soldiers And Its Soldiers Heroes." Below spout is a three mast ship displaying the American flag and below the handle is a 15 star federal eagle. Restoration to top/bottom edges, spout and handle. Finish cracks along handle, some faint staining and wear from handling displaying Fine. Lovely blue enamel hand applied adornments and borders aid in setting off the crimson/lavender transfers. Vessels of this size rarely survived in any condition making this a supreme example. Rex & Patti Stark Collection.
