4.5x5.5” from an extensive c. 1950s series of “Official Hopalong Cassidy Cards by Buzza Cardozo.” This particular card is of note to gum card collectors as on the interior is an attached unopened pack of Topps Hoppy gum cards. This is the 1¢ white background variety wrapper. Front of card features illustration of young boy & girl in Hoppy-inspired outfits looking at a die-cut hole in a wood fence with text reading “Well- By Gum- It’s Hoppy.” This opens to reveal the attached card pack with additional text “May Your Birthday Just Bubble Over With Joy.” Additional images include boy blowing a bubble (actually the die-cut opening) and Topper is in the background. Blank reverse has trace of adhesive staining where pack is attached, however the card remains NM as does the pack itself. Comes with original plain mailing envelope. All cards in this series are of interesting design but this is one of the nicest. Rare.
