Large 11.5x26x18" tall box contains complete set by AC Gilbert Co. copyright 1965 Glidrose Productions Ltd. Front of box has full color paper label with "Le Mans Start" paste-over. Front of box has a 1.5" puncture mark on track below Bond image and .5" puncture along top center edge. Label has some color rubs due to corrugated cardboard box, but overall appearance is bright and glossy. All other side panels of box have very st. aging and wear. Fine. Box contains elaborate electrically operated slot car race course that consists of six main molded hard plastic sections to be snapped together and held by thin metal contact rails in the racing slots of the track. Assembled course is 34x51" and has very colorful and scenic basic layout including lakes, rock formations, etc. which are enhanced by addition of two plastic mountains (when assembled, the highest mountain is about 10" tall). Course is a modified "Figure 8" complete w/elevated ramps, underpasses, tunnels, banks, tilted curves, oil slicks, etc. Comes w/many small accessory pieces including signs, fence sections, trees, fire extinguisher, fuel tank, etc. Comes w/pair of 3.5" long slot cars - James Bond's Aston Martin and a Mustang. Aston Martin has pop-up bullet shield on back. Both are Exc. Comes with 2 control units w/"James Bond" foil stickers. We have not tested the set and are unsure if it works but it does come w/original power pack. Comes w/original detailed instructions. Set remains Exc. and appears unused, original inserts and packing materials remain. An exceptional Bond item rarely found complete and w/this nice of a box.
