Item Description
This 1936 toy is 4.25" wide, 9.5" tall, 15.25" long complete w/aged pull string w/original red wood knob on the end. When operating all four of Pluto's legs move as well as Donald's right arm. Originally inserted into the end of Donald's arm was a black rubber whip. This has snapped off although the end piece remains inserted in the hole. Toy is o/w complete including Pluto's black rope tail. On the right side of toy about .25" of paper label is missing from the tip of Donald's upper beak. On the left side paper label is intact although a couple tiny spots w/a little surface paper missing around his forehead and the base of his hat and a lt. diagonal crease in the paper across his eye and beak. Labels have small but very lt. scattered age marks. Outer edge of each large blue wheel has narrow circle of paint worn off from use. We would conservatively put condition at VG although toy displays very nicely w/bright color remaining on the labels. A solid example of a rarely offered toy. From the Deak Stagemyer Collection.
