Item Description
These beautifully painted & glazed ceramic figurines comprise the complete set of characters produced for Alice by Hagen. 1950s. These are Alice, Mad Hatter, March Hare & Caterpillar. 1.25 to 3.25” tall. Alice has minute glaze nick on nose, couple of tiny glaze nicks on bottom edge of dress, all only noticeable upon very close inspection. VF. The Caterpillar seated on a mushroom is missing its tiny top right hand. Stem of mushroom has been glued to base but this is only noticeable when turned over. Despite these defects still a charming figurine, Rare and the first we’ve every offered. The other two are Exc. An exceptional set. This is the actual example as shown in Tomart's Disneyana Update #43 and comes w/a copy of that issue.
From the Tomart Archives and comes w/COA signed by Tom Tumbusch & Ted Hake.
