6.25" tall. c. 1814. "The True Blooded Yankee" was a French built privateer commanded by Captain Joshua Hailey during the War of 1812. During the War, the American government authorized private ships to attack enemy ships to disrupt communications and shipping. Detailed graphic of ship w/huge flag, cannons and anchor. Overall surface cleaning, restoration to base and handle seen under black light. The seamless nature of the work has this rarity displaying Exc. A handsome nautical theme w/historical meaning.
