Item Description
6-7/8" dia. Finely detailed hand painted portrait of Scott. Gold luster and black bands surround the presentation. Verso has painted "W. Scott." The portraits on these examples are larger than others featuring earlier candidates suggesting they were produced c. 1852. Only trivial wear Exc. Exceptional detail and superlative quality make this and the Pierce counterpart (see previous lot) spectacular artifacts for the 1852 candidates. Rex & Patti Stark Collection.
