Item Description
Matching pair, each is 2.25" w/spring pin holding fabric ribbons and chain w/metal football charm. Issued for the Jan. 12, 1969 championship game at the Miami Orange Bowl. The Jets upset the Colts 16-7, upholding Joe Namath's bold victory guarantee. It was the first Super Bowl victory for the AFL. This was the first AFL-NFL championship game to officially bear the trademark name "Super Bowl." Trace of oxidation on metal backs. Lt. wear to ribbons. Buttons are glossy. Exc.
