Item Description
This groundbreaking set ushered in the modern era of basketball card collecting, marking the first time that a nationally distributed series of NBA licensed basketball cards was distributed year after year. The 99 card set represents Topps first basketball release since 1957. Incorporating a new design forever known in the hobby as "Tall Boys", these oversize cards measure 2-1/2x4-11/16".  Alcindor (later Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall Of Fame in 2006. This is the key card in the set.
