Item Description
In 1964, LBJ inspired a storm of protest by hoisting one of his beagles (named Him and Her) by the ears in front of guests and photographer on the White House lawn. This photo is enlarged as a printed poster framed under glass to 14x19.75". Likely c. 1966-1968 with quotation of anti-Vietnam War sentiment printed at top: "He Who Meddles In A Quarrel Not His Own Is Like One Who Takes A Passing Dog By The Ears/Proverbs 26:17." Mint in N. Mint frame.
