Item Description
10.5x13.5". June 20, 1969 issue. Contains six-page article on graduating college classes titled "The Class Of '69-With Eloquent Defiance, Top Students Protest Right Through Commencement." Hillary Rodham is pictured beside her essay, which is not written as a protest but rather as an inquiry on the state of the nation titled "Protest Is An Attempt To Forge An Identity." 10 column inch essay ends with "If The Experiment In Human Living Doesn't Work In This Country, In This Age, It's Not Going To Work Anywhere." Of the four valedictorians from leading colleges profiled, in addition to Hillary is Ira Magaziner. Ironically, he became an aide to President Clinton, and then with Hillary headed the Task Force To Reform Health Care. He then became Clinton's "Internet Czar," promoting free access and, more recently, served as Director and Chairman of the Clinton Foundation Policy Board.
