5.75x10.5x1.25" deep textured paper-covered cardboard pencil box w/snap closure. 1930s by Dixon, this box is "2714." Top features image of Mickey next to a piano laughing at a diminutive Donald. Back panel depicts Mickey drawing a portrait of Minnie as Pluto is at his side holding a pencil in his mouth. Two side panels feature portraits of Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Horace and Clarabelle. Interior paper covering is in two-tone blue w/overall images of Mickey, Minnie and Pluto engaged in a variety of activities. Has inner slide-out tray which contains generic U.S. map by Dixon. Also comes w/10" wood ruler featuring different images of all the characters that appear on the box in addition to Goofy. Ruler is Exc. Interior of box has staple rust staining, right and left side panels have fade to lt. blue color w/some tiny scattered spots of missing surface paper due to insects. Outside of box has lt. trace of aging but appearance remains clean. Still displays VF.
