Item Description
1.5" w/curl text "©1935 B. & B. St Paul" (for Brown & Bigelow). Features full figure boxing stance image of The Brown Bomber next to his facsimile signature and text "Heavyweight Sensation." This same button was used later with text changed to "World's Heavyweight Champion" after he won the title in 1937. Both versions were issued w/different business imprints at bottom and this one is for "Walter C. Beckett Funeral Home 216 W. Couller St." Both variations are shown in Paul's boxing button book. Surface rust to metal back. Front has scattered tiny bumps to the touch. Front has scattered aging and light staining but design remains strong and surface remains totally glossy. VG. Rare.
