Auction #182 - Part II
Item numbers 1500-3431 in auction 182
Item Description
From same set as #2533. The painted plaster lamp has 4" dia. base w/height of 6.5" to the top of Dopey, 9" to the top of the socket. Underside has original felt covering although the label is missing. Has original electric cord and plug. Cord has some fraying of the fabric covering but lamp works. The cream-colored accent on base mostly remains on front and right sides but is mostly worn down to base plaster everywhere else. Back bottom edge has .5" sliver of missing plaster. The right side of his head also has obvious paint wear on both his face and hat. Overall appearance remains bright and glossy, very little paint wear to Dopey is visible when viewed straight on so still a nice example for display. Fine appearance. The shade that comes w/this lamp features great image of Dopey covering his mouth having swallowed soap and around him are soap bubbles. Very lightly aged w/dust soiling but appearance remains glossy. As far as these shades go, still Exc. Shade is rare, especially in this condition and this is only the second Dopey shade we've been able to offer.
