Item numbers 1 though 1052 in auction 192
Item Description
7.5" dia. 7" tall. Top and bottom have 3" dia. openings. Thick, molded glass. Painted inside and out to limit illumination to the eyes, nose, mouth areas. Thick, red painted areas have embossed eyebrows, dimples, chin. Ears and back of head are finished in red glitter. Inside is painted bright yellow except for the eyes, nose, mouth areas. Extensive emphasis to hand-painted detail. Recessed facial areas are accented in black. Embossed teeth are detailed with red. Embossed pie eyes have been carefully detailed. Judging from the bright yellow internal paint, it is safe to assume that these have never been illuminated with candles. The emphasis on detail makes one wonder if they were not used as some elaborate store displays. Impressive and Exc.
