Item Description
Complete set of 30. 11x13.5". 16 pages each. Each is numbered. Each book was issued weekly with dates starting April 14th, 1904/Ending Nov. 3rd, 1904. ©1903 by N.D. Thompson Publishing Co. Each cover has the same illustration and text. Contents of each consists of each page featuring one large bw photo of a fair scene with extensive captions. Inside cover of No. 1 includes a quote by William McKinley "Expositions Are The Time Keepers Of Progress." This complete set of 30 books is "A Portfolio Of Official Photographic Views Of The Universal Exposition, St. Louis, 1904." A more extensive portfolio of the fair would be unlikely, if at all possible. Six have separated covers. Scattered handling wear to some covers, o/w Fine to VF. Contents remain bright. Light edge wear on a very few pages, o/w contents VF to Exc.
