Item Description
6x9.25x7" tall to top of handle. Wood case with composition front. High relief images of "Trylon and Perisphere/RCA Building." Trylon and perisphere are highlighted in gold while remainder of face is a painted coppertone color. The original speaker cloth remains intact and Exc. The reverse on glass dial reads "RCA Victor." The original cord remains but is brittle and would need replaced before functioning. Case top and handle maintain a nice patina with some non-offensive imperfections. The original back panel remains intact but with obvious wear not noticeable when displayed. Original RCA paper label remains on bottom and reads "Model 40 X-56 Superheterodyne." Although uncertain as to its functionability, this rare radio would be a major addition for both World's Fair and radio collectors. VF.
