Item Description
4.25x5.5". Manufactured by Lux (unmarked). Sally Rand appeared at the 1933-34 Century of Progress in Chicago. This animated clock has a painted aluminum fan that moves back and forth with movement of pendulum. When the bare-breasted dancer's fan swings to the left, her most private parts are unveiled. Racy, but tastefully done. Applied sticker to left of foot reads "1934/Souvenir Streets Of Paris." A 1933 variety is known of this same design with the date appearing on the pendulum. This is the rarer 1934 variety. Comes with key. Overwound/not working. Comes with an old, hand-made display stand, not issued with clock. This rare clock displays Exc.
