Item Description
7-1/8" tall pressed cardboard/paper mache lantern. c. 1920s. German. Consisting of two equally sized pumpkins for head and body, pumpkin man has additional added cardboard ears, arms/hands and pointy nose. Open eye and mouth areas have been backed with paper with printed facial features. Bottom of base has cardboard stopper with wire ring to hold candle which when lit, illuminated eyes and mouth. Lantern originally came with hat which is missing but still displays nicely. 1/8" and .25" light moisture spot to front of face and .25" moisture spot to back of head, not that noticeable. Light wear to tip of nose. Still an Exc. display.
