Item Description
1.75x8-5/8x.75" deep cardboard mailer. 1936. Return address reads - "Tom Mix/Checkerboard Square/St. Louis." The "TM" brand also appears. Reverse has instructions. Side panels have art of boy using parachute launcher. Box is evenly aged. Top flap is missing. Box VG. Box contains 8.5" long balsa wood/stiff paper rocket parachute with rubberband and metal weight. Also included is die-cut metal piece attached to paper parachute designed like cowboy holding his hat. Also included is 3.5" long wood "Launcher" with notch for rubberband. Paper/wood items evenly aged. This cowboy version is much scarcer than the paratrooper. Rocket parachute/paper parachute/metal man all VF. Lot also includes 7.5x14.5" Sunday funny ad for "Tom Mix Rocket Parachute." Ad Exc.
