Item Description
7.5x23.5x9.75" box. c. 1960s. Made by Louis Marx & Co. of Canada. Box uses same design/graphics as the "Official Wagon Train" toy that was sold in conjunction with the TV show. Graphics include on top Ward Bond as Seth Adams and Robert Horton as Flint McCullough. Their names have been removed from this Canadian issue. Also the word "Official" has been replaced with the word "Calgary." Box top is perforated (punched) to fold up for store display. Two 1" splits appear at back hinge. Light surface dust and general wear overall. Box still holds its original shape. Box overall Fine. Contents are the same as the "Official Wagon Train" issue, however the fabric on the wagon top has been replaced to read "Calgary Stampede." The famous annual Calgary Stampede Corral Wagon Races held in Calgary, Canada have been and continue to be a very well-attended event. This item was likely marketed at that event. Wagon and horses come with accessories and rider. Missing is whip and rifle, o/w contents Exc.
